About the Event
Relay for Life Greater South Shore is a community fundraising event hosted by the American Cancer Society that brings people together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and take action to end cancer. Participants form teams and take turns walking the track throughout the event, symbolizing that cancer never sleeps and that our community will never stop fighting back.
The event features survivor celebrations, a moving luminaria ceremony honoring those affected by cancer, live entertainment, team activities, and opportunities to learn about the lifesaving work funded by Relay for Life. Every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society support groundbreaking cancer research, provide patient support programs, and advocate for policies that improve the lives of people facing cancer.
